This maru gata tsuba with maru mimi is made from iron with brass (shinchu) inlay and positive sukashi openwork depicting mon, flowers and vines.  Although unsigned it is most likely the work of Kaga Yoshino Naomasa.  Naomasa worked in the late Momoyama to early Edo period.  He was originally from Kyoto, but later moved to Kaga province.  The Kaga Yoshiro work is thought to be a deviation of the Heianjo Zogan.  The kogai hitsu-ana is filled wirh lead.
